Play suits

Play and adults relationship to play is my inspiration for these new works, including the pink playsuit. As an artist, growing up in fashion, it feel like creating these works is a full circle moment. Im really interested in how and why adults play, and in my academic research Ive learnt a lot about social boundary's and expectations, acceptable play and rules surrounding successful play. In response to this I have designed several play suits that represent elements of play that I like the best. Surprise, freedom of expression, and play with no outcome. Play, just because it feels good, not to learn, not to produce, not to win or make money. Just because we want to, and in doing so, we feel like an individual and connected at the same time.

To dress up, to cover ourselves, to feel invincible and strong. To feel free. That is the purpose of this work.
